redeeming sunday nights.

December 10, 2012

I used to hate Sunday nights.

Sunday nights were full of dread for me. Around noon on Sunday I would start to slowly sink into a miserable mood in the face of the impending doom of yet.another.frantic.week. And don’t get me started on Mondays.

Somewhere along the way, Colby and I started the tradition of Sunday night movie night. It used to be just us, some pasta, red wine, and a movie. It’s evolved a bit.

Now, we have a projector. Now, we have a roommate. Now, we invite other friends to be a part of it. Our Sunday nights always involve food, some sort of drinks (our latest obsession is chai-tinis), and lately: a Christmas movie.

Last night we watched The Holiday. We laughed a lot and it made me forget all about everything that I had going on this week. Hillary came over too. This morning she texted us, “You are the best lil family.”

I have to agree. Hashtag: blessed.
